SPA2010 [1] takes place on the 16-19 May 2010 at BCS London (Covent Garden), bringing together experts and practitioners across a variety of industries, from all parts of the world. A place to share the latest thinking in software development, SPA2010 highlights the advances in technology and practice that make a real difference to developer skills, to the effectiveness of a team, and to the quality of the software produced.
This year Miles Sabin [2] from Chuusai Ltd [3] and Eclipse Scala plug-in contributor will be running a two and a half hour session on Scala [4], "An Introduction to Scala for Java Developers". If you are just looking into Scala, then this would be a great place to learn more about it from an experienced practitioner.
