The Scala BEAST!
Fri, 2009-02-27, 03:50
Hello fellow Scalai-sts!
I'd like to announce the formation of a new group: "The Scala Baltimore Extended Area Software Techies" (or the Scala BEAST for short). I'd like to organize those of us who are interested into a few meet + greets, with potentially some speakers and demonstrations of the power scala (hopefully without bringing down any planes).
If you're interested please join us!
http://groups.google.com/group/scala-beast
Thanks,
-Josh

Re: The Scala BEAST!
If signup is slow we could consider meeting up at a FringeDC meeting and try to win some converts from the Haskell and Lisp communities... I think there's an informal meeting a March 7.

Re: The Scala BEAST!
Awesome, good call. I was planning on contacting them soon.
Also, if the name is "too much", we can drop it down to just "The Scala BEAT". The only issue there is I got no rhythm, only music.
