Hi all,

I like to inform the group that I started an experimental effort to
integrate the functionality of the
jHepWork data analysis framework (http://jwork.org/jhepwork/)
from within ScalaLab (http://code.google.com/p/scalalab/)
with the scalalab281Ext ScalaLab version.

The Jython scripts described in the book
"Scientific Data Analysis using Jython Scripting and Java", Springer
2010, Sergei V. Chekanov,
can be easily translated to Scala and operate from within ScalaLab
significantly faster. I provide some examples in "Demos"->"jHepWork
Examples".

However, much work is needed to integrate elegantly the functionality of
the open-source Java libraries of jHepWork (many of them ScalaLab
already has used)

Regards

Stergios
