FYI:

yet another area where Scala shines!

by carefully wrapping a DSL around JavaFX code
(done by Stephen Chin steve@widgetfx.org)
one can conveniently make use of ScalaFX library code
( not to mention the convenience of using Scala code in the first place :-) )
