github repo tags

Well, that's lovely. Here I am dutifully adhering to (what I thought
was) the draft semantic-versioning tagging standard, somehow trapped
in a time warp to last month before it was ejected from the
specification entirely. So I have disrupted the tags on github for
little purpose, but I like them better this way anyway. Please excuse
the dust and my ineptness while we make ourselves a comfortable home
in the new scm.
