Getting Defect 715 taken care of

Folks,
Defect 715 (https://lampsvn.epfl.ch/trac/scala/ticket/715) has been an ongoing problem related to complex traits that have type parameters. What do I have to do (e.g., write more examples, etc.) to get this bug fixed for 2.8?

It is very much on my radar, but as I have been becoming increasingly
averse to bandaids I wanted to address the general issue (the pickler)
and there is a pre-pickler project I have to tackle before I can rewrite
the pickler.
And as you are probably aware my scope encompasses every ticket in trac
so it's difficult to make any guarantees about when any particular one
of the 500 or so open tickets will be fixed.
It always helps to minimize the examples as far as possible, so if you
want to do that to the one I posted (which was the first time I'd been
able to reproduce it) that would encourage me to come back to it faster.
