Thanks for the quick response! Looking forward to the 2.8 releases! :)

p.s. quick note - if people are having trouble enabling JDT weaving, even
after following the 3 different methods on the website - try a fresh install
of eclipse and scala plugin, as well as deleting all your project settings
and re-importing - worked for me!
