Might be worth considering http://uservoice.com/ as a way to encourage
feedback from users, and to prioritize new features. Its
functionality does overlap a little with a bug-tracker, but it is much
more accessible and allows users to vote to prioritize features. I've
seen it work well on other open source projects.

Re: Using UserVoice to encourage feedback on Eclipse Plugin

I have used it (as a user) for other things - its killer feature is
how well the search works as you type in the title - most of the time
you find an existing suggestion that you can just add details too. Its
a good way of getting users to prioritise things - for whatever that
is worth to you.
