Stupid numbers

Mmm, looks like I expunged out a whole pile of methods prematurely.
That's unfortunate. I'm not sure what I was thinking but I will suppose
it's a result of the methods targeted for extermination being a mix of
really old methods (which had been deprecated long enough) and really
new methods (which were marked for deprecation even though they'd never
been released) and I wandered into really medium-aged methods too.

Happily it's easy to resurrect them.
