"Read timeout" when attempting to update the eclipse nightly plugin
Thu, 2010-01-07, 18:38
Is anyone else getting errors like this?I've been suffering from them for 2 days now and it's starting to frustrate me!
Odd thing is that this hit me when updating under both OSX and a 32bit VM under windows 7, although a clean install against 64-bit eclipse and Java managed to work earlier today.

Re: "Read timeout" when attempting to update the eclipse night
For now, I just downloaded the update site from here: http://www.scala-lang.org/node/212/eclipse
and ran a local install.
Still frustrating though!

Mine worked, I'm getting
Scala Eclipse Plugin 2.8.0.r20397-b20100107042503
i run 32bit JVM on linux.
Does anyone know if it's possible to update to the latest nightly via the command line? I.e., install the latest nightly without starting Eclipse?

Re: "Read timeout" when attempting to update the eclipse night
Well, I've been meaning to get the 64-bit cocoa version anyway.Grabbed it from Yoxos and everything now seems to be working just fine, so I'm not going to worry about it any more.
Annoyingly frustrating though.
