working with IDE Scala compiler plugin for 2.8.0.Beta1
Fri, 2010-03-26, 15:55
Hi all,
Just wondering if by now there is a really stable plugin for Netbeans or Eclipse? I tried to install the plugin(s) available in the past a few times but I had so many issues that I gave up working within Eclipse/Netbeans self.
But since I spent more and more time on SCALA I really would like to know if this has improved and if there is documentation (how-to) at hand.
Many thx in advance,
Robby

Been working with the nightly of Eclipse without problems lately. Great job guys!!!
The things that are still missing is refactoring support and workable completion (works 50 % of the time for me) but then again Rom wasn't build in one day and who am I to complain.
Btw how hard is it to setup eclipse and the infrastructure for working on the IDE?

You can find instructions here,

Cheers,

did you try Intellij IDEA now that it has an open source branch? it is definitely stable and can deal with more complex projects... i just saw recently that you can use netbeans or eclipse keyboard mappings in the prefs, but even without them i could quickly adapt to it.
