[GSOC 2010]- Code coverage tool or Testing framework for semantically driven features of the Scala IDE for Eclipse
Thu, 2010-04-01, 14:28
Hi
I am a student of University of Houston and currently working on my Masters thesis in scala. I am playing with the scala AST and trying to analyze the scala source code.
I am interested in being a part of GSOC and I would like to work on the code coverage tool. I think my thesis project and the code coverage tool are quite similar in implementation. Hence I will be easier for me to work on this. But I must say that I have never dug into the code coverage tools.
Another project that caught my eye was: Testing framework for semantically driven features of Scala IDE for eclipse, but I didnt fully understand what is required in the Testing framework. What is it that we are trying to test here, the code or the features of the IDE? Can somebody please elaborate on this or point me to some links that will help me understand. Just want to pick the right project before applying.
Thanks,Chaitali Kulkarni
