Question on installing Scala on OS X

I've used the IzPack installer to install Scala; however, it doesn't
seem to create links to the scala binaries on the standard search
path. Should I do this myself (which I did for previous versions), or
is there a better way?

Thanks,
Ken

Re: Question on installing Scala on OS X
I don't know a better way, but I have the installations in /usr/loca/scala, and have made a link /usr/loca/scala/latest that always points to the latest installation. That way, I don't have to change the path every time I install a new version, JAVA_HOME for Netbeans, etc.

Re: Question on installing Scala on OS X

I use mac ports to install it which works fairly well.
