10-20% performance degradation

During last week or two there were some changes in trunk which resulted

- in 10-15% degradation in my project(s) build time, and
- in 15-20% worse in behcnmarking.

Am I alone here? I'm at r21803 now.

We have seen similar things and are trying to find the cause. How do you benchmark? What is your setup?

It's an http server ([1], own yet closed current trunk) stress-loaded with
ApacheBench [2]. In fact, the enironment is the same as one has helped to
discover [3].

IIRC, the were some message in one of Scala lists about performance recently.
