NY Scala Enthusiasts

Fellow New Yorkers (and those in the area),
I've started a New York Scala Enthusiasts meetup http://www.meetup.com/New-York-Scala-Enthusiasts/ for those of us living in the area. Feb 23rd is the first meeting, and I'm looking into getting a conference room at my work (25th and Park) on Monday. If that doesn't work out, I'll figure something else out.
For the first meeting I'm planning an intro to Scala using an easy to understand genetic algorithm I wrote a little while back. However, if the makeup of the group is more advanced, maybe something else ought to be discussed, and I'm totally open to suggestions, especially if you have any real world code you can share.
Any interest in joining?
