Glad to hear that there is better Gentoo support for Scala now :-)
To be honest I've never used the Gentoo ebuilds anyway. I've installed
Scala manually like most of the Java stuff, too. Simply because it's
hard to keep the system up-to-date with ebuilds for projects which are
under active development. And I must admit that I've never had the
motivation to deal with portage when all I needed was just a simple JAR
for an API or something like this - in particular if there are other
dependencies you would have to satisfy.
But of course I will give your overlay a try!
Btw.: Is it a lot of work to create a Gentoo ebuild for software
packages without that much dependencies?
