Fri, 2011-05-06, 10:19
We are happy to announce that the beta3 release of the Scala IDE for
Eclipse is ready for download. This release comes with the 2.9.0.RC3
release of the Scala compiler and fixes a number of issues, such as:
- Crashes on startup
- Wrong positions when inserting QuickFix imports
- Better handling of errors in source files, especially when using
‘Mark Occurrences’
There are 12 tickets fixed since the last beta. The complete list is
available here:
https://scala-ide-portfolio.assembla.com/spaces/scala-ide/tickets/report...
This build is relative to the 2.9.0.RC3 version of the Scala compiler
and requires Eclipse 3.6 (Helios). You can install the new release by
pointing Eclipse to the following update site,
http://download.scala-ide.org/releases/2.0.0-beta
If you have an earlier 2.0.0-beta release installed you should be able
to upgrade automatically from within Eclipse by simply checking for
updates. An downloadable update site zip for offline installation, and
other builds are all available from the Scala IDE downloads page.
