dependent types fix?

Any hope for a fix for https://issues.scala-lang.org/browse/SI-4518
(-Xexperimental dependent types regression) in an early 2.9.x release?
It's blocking me from resurrecting the Scala Roles library which hasn't
worked since 2.7.x.
